HTC Touch Diamond Release date announced

the HTC May 6th event in London, the HTC Touch Diamond details and images were released through a promotional video. The device that is going to be HTC’s focus for 2008 will focus on mobile internet usability and will have goodies like VGA screen, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, YouTube functionality and a new touch navigation interface - the TouchFLO in 3D. The HTC Touch Diamond will feature HSUPA 7.2mbps, and will be very thin with a look similar to Cover Flow on the iPhone.The device will feature an accelerometer, so when viewing pictures and web browsing, the image or webpage rotates when the device does. It will allow the user to browse through his music collection in a snap. The look is similar to Cover Flow on the iPhone.The HTC Touch Diamond will deliver desktop quality browsing, where the content is resized for the screen, until you use the navigation pad to zoom in and out that is. In addition, you can resize the page to an overview mode once again by touching the screen. The accelerometer works while web browsing as well, to provide the full experience. The browser made available will be a custom version of Opera. The device will be available in Europe and Asia in the second week of June and in the rest of the world by the later part of 2008.
