As the first Smartphone to be built solely for extra durability, the Nokia 5500 Sport comes in a jazzy yet smart design with a Stainless Steel Chassis and rubber edging to resist dust and enhance grip.

A Quick Access button allows fast switching between profiles for Sport, Phone or Music use, making related functions easier to choose. For example, the Sport profile features amongst other things, a Stopwatch, Pedometer, Exercise Monitors and a Calorie Counter.

Amongst the usual features of a Smartphone, the Nokia 5500 Sport also has some rather interesting new ideas, such as the Text-To-Speech technology so you can have your messages read out to you whilst you concentrate on the track ahead!

Storage is provided with the 64MB of internal memory, and the ability of adding up to 1GB MicroSD(TransFlash) cards for extra space. A single 1GB card can hold around 750 music tracks, and with an FM Radio to boot, you can have backing music for any activity!
